Women's Poncho Galao

Some pieces defy seasons. Galao is one of them.

Powdered pinkish-beige, soft as late afternoon light—a color that pairs with everything, flatters all skin tones, and transcends time without ever aging. Worn in a perfectly regular filet crochet stitch, it takes on an almost architectural dimension: each stitch is a square, each square interlocking with the next with precision that owes nothing to chance.

Entirely handcrafted in my French workshop, Galao is a pure cotton poncho with flared kimono sleeves. The cut is generous and free—loose on the body, open on the sides, asymmetric in length. The sleeves flare out like a bell and end in a delicate and precise scalloped shell border, signing the piece with the elegance of a lacemaker. The wide, soft boat neckline naturally exposes the shoulders and collarbones.

Galao can be worn with white jeans, tailored shorts, flowing trousers—it instantly transforms the silhouette. It transitions from the beach to the city, from the market to the restaurant, without ever losing its allure. It can be worn open over a camisole or closed over a bodysuit. It travels well, can be hand-washed at 30°C, dries flat, and regains its shape and lightness every time.
