Choubidou — The creation
Choubidou. A name that sings, that dances, that refuses to be serious.
The Choubidou is the happiest piece in the workshop.
Not the wisest, not the most sober — the happiest. Orange, turquoise, green, red, yellow — these colors did not meet by chance.
They were chosen together, woven together into a multicolored thread that gives each stitch a life of its own, an identity of its own, a light of its own.
The construction of the Choubidou is a conversation between techniques.
The multicolored dense stitch bust formed into a triangle — this geometry that structures, that frames, that gives the piece its central architecture.
The ivory scalloped border that frames it — this off-white that soothes, that separates, that gives each color space to exist.
The ivory filet stitch waistband — this light transition between the dense bust and the openwork bottom.
And the multicolored granny squares at the bottom — these squares that echo the colors of the bust, that deploy them differently, that create continuity in variation.
The delicate ivory halter straps tie at the nape with casual lightness.
At the back, the adjustable ivory corset lacing reveals the skin with that calculated precision that transforms the back into a composition in its own right.
Choubidou can be worn with white jeans to highlight the colors, with ecru linen shorts for an absolute vacation vibe, or with a long black skirt for intense contrast.
The piece for days when you decide that joy is an aesthetic.
Entirely hand-crocheted in my French workshop.
