I select yarns suitable for each type of hat: light and breathable cotton for summer hats, soft and warm wool for winter beanies, structured blends for berets and sun hats that need to hold their shape.
Each hat is worked in the round, starting from the top of the crown and gradually increasing to create the desired shape.
Finishing touches are particularly important: the brim must be even, the patterns well-aligned, and the shape stable.
