Calendula — The Creation
Calendula. The Latin name for marigold — this orange flower that grows everywhere, withstands everything, and brightens the most ordinary gardens.
The orange of Calendula is the color of this very flower. Not the garish orange of neon lights, not the pale orange of sunsets — a frank, warm, assertive orange that belongs to nature and light.
The color that doesn't try to please everyone, and that pleases those who know.
The openwork mesh stitch builds the piece with precise geometric rigor — each square of the net a decision, each open stitch a breath.
On the orange of Calendula, transparency takes on an additional dimension: the color seems to come from within, as if the piece itself were a source of warm light.
The high neckline and the halter neck tied at the nape structure the front with a firm and assertive elegance. In the back — completely bare, fastened by a tie at the waist — the piece reveals its true nature: an architecture of skin and thread designed to be seen from all angles.
This tied knot is not a detail. It is the keystone.
The scalloped shell border at the bottom finishes the creation with that gentle precision that is the hallmark of the workshop.
