Verduro — The Creation
Verduro. Green in Old French: this color speaks of the forest and moss, fern and ivy, all the shades of green that nature invents without ever repeating itself.
Verduro is a piece that speaks of nature with absolute precision and sophistication.
Not a single, uniform green — three greens that follow and echo each other:
- Deep forest green, almost dark, speaking of undergrowth and shadows.
- Luminous, almost electric, anise green, speaking of new shoots and spring.
- Golden khaki green, warm and earthy, speaking of autumn and fallen leaves.
Three greens coexisting on the same piece with absolute harmony and sophistication.
The construction of Verduro is an architectural decision of remarkable intelligence and precision.
The piece is divided into two distinct and complementary zones — two textile languages that respond to each other with absolute coherence and beauty.
- The yoke — the top of the piece, from the shoulders to mid-body — is in multicolored shell stitch.
Dense and ornamental arcs of stitches chained in horizontal bands: a forest green band, an ecru row in openwork fan stitch, an anise green band, an ecru row in fan stitch, a khaki green band, an ecru row in fan stitch.
This alternation — color and ecru, density and lightness — creates a horizontal rhythm of absolute richness and sophistication. The ecru fan stitch rows are the most delicate decision of the yoke — arcs of stitches that open like a fan from a single point, creating ornamental areas of absolute lightness and beauty between the color bands. - The bottom — the waistband and hem — is in ecru openwork star stitch.
Six-petal floral motifs chained with absolute regularity and beauty, creating a light and luminous ornamental surface that contrasts with the density of the yoke.
The scalloped hem in large, generous waves runs all along the bottom of the piece with the absolute beauty and precision of lacework.
The flared ecru sleeves are Verduro's most romantic decision.
They repeat the same openwork star stitch, gradually widening from top to bottom, creating a fluid and graceful volume of absolute beauty.
And they end with the same large, wavy scalloped hem — a coherence and precision that indicate the piece is designed as a whole.
Ideas for wearing it?
Over black tailored trousers — the black intensifies all the greens of the yoke, the ecru of the bottom and sleeves creates precise lines of light.

Over khaki or olive slim jeans — the earthy tones of the bottom resonate with the khaki green of the yoke, the piece harmonizes with remarkable naturalness.
