Touchy — The creation
A versatile sweater that makes the most beautiful statement
Touchy. A name that speaks to touch, to texture, to material you want to grasp between your fingers.
And Touchy lives up to its name — it's a piece you can't look at without wanting to touch it.
The body of Touchy is a garden. A very dense floral stitch, crafted flower by flower, petal by petal. Each motif forms a four-petal ecru flower — regular, precise, repeated with absolute constancy over the entire surface of the piece. And at the center of each flower, a multicolored heart.
Red, orange, yellow, green, turquoise — five colors that follow one another from flower to flower, with no apparent order, creating a vibrant and joyful confetti effect.
No two flowers have the same heart as their neighbor.
No two rows are identical.
It's a composition that changes depending on where the eye lands — a moving garden, a texture that never truly repeats itself.
The density of this stitch is remarkable. The flowers are tight, close-knit, almost sculptural — the piece has body, weight, a physical presence not found in openwork crochet.
It's haute couture crochet, requiring absolute precision and regularity.
And then the sleeves arrive — and everything changes. The slightly puffed 3/4 sleeves are in very openwork ecru fishnet stitch — light, transparent, almost immaterial.
The contrast with the density of the body is striking: on one side, floral and colorful richness; on the other, the geometric lightness of the fishnet.
It is this contrast of densities that makes Touchy a sophisticated piece — not just beautiful, but constructed.
The ecru scalloped border at the bottom closes the composition with the precision of a lacemaker. The soft round neckline naturally frames the face.
Some styling ideas
With turquoise or green slim jeans — the tones of the jeans resonate with the multicolored hearts, creating a dialogue between the piece and the bottoms. This is the most colorful, most assertive look.
With white slim jeans — white amplifies the ecru of the petals, and the multicolored hearts take center stage. This is the brightest, most summery look.
With cream or ivory pants — Touchy becomes a statement piece. Ecru against cream, with the colors of the hearts as the only accent. This is the most sophisticated, most editorial look.
With raw or washed-out jeans — denim against ecru creates a perfect bohemian look. The fishnet sleeves fall lightly, and the multicolored flowers vibrate against the blue.
