Sunshine — The Creation
Like a sunrise in the middle of summer
Sunshine. The sun — that pale, almost lemon yellow, which belongs to summer mornings, to sunflower fields, to linen vacation dresses.
A yellow that isn't garish, not saturated — a soft, luminous yellow that goes with everything.
Sunshine is built on a simple and radical principle: pale yellow and black. Two colors, one rule — yellow for the body, black for the borders. And it is this rule, applied with absolute precision, that makes Sunshine a piece of rare elegance.
The body is made of very openwork fan/shell stitches in pale yellow — light, luminous, transparent.
The fans follow each other with soothing regularity, allowing light and air to pass through generously.
It's a stitch that belongs to the tradition of summer crochet — light, breathable, perfect for warm days.
And then black arrives.
Not everywhere — exactly where it should be. The round neckline is highlighted with a deep black scalloped stitch — a clean line that frames the face and creates immediate contrast.
The sleeve edges feature the same black scallops — consistency is total, every edge of the piece is treated the same way.
At the bottom, the double horizontal band — two lines of black scallops separated by a row of yellow — concludes the composition with almost sartorial precision.
This detail is everything: the double band is not an ordinary border, it's a signature.
The cut is straight and slightly fitted — neither oversized nor tight, but just right.
Identical front and back, Sunshine can be worn both ways.
And if you wore it like this!
Over slim black jeans — the black of the jeans resonates with the black borders, the pale yellow shines against the dark background.
This is the most graphic, most assertive — and most obvious — look.
Over white or cream trousers — yellow against white is a perfect sun-kissed palette.
The black borders create contrast, and the piece takes center stage.
Over raw or distressed jeans — denim against pale yellow creates a casual and luminous look.
The black borders provide precision.
Over a black midi skirt — Sunshine becomes a light evening piece. Yellow against black, the borders resonating with the skirt — this is the most sophisticated, most unexpected look.
