Ruggino — The creation
Ruggino. Rust in Italian: the color that speaks of autumn and warmth, ancient metal and scorched earth.
But Ruggino is not limited to rust: it's an explosion of warm, vibrant colors that express joy and generosity, celebration and craftsmanship.
Ruggino's foundational decision is the boldest in the entire collection: two radically different textile languages on the same piece. On the front — granny squares.
On the back — stripes. A piece that changes its appearance depending on the viewing angle, saying something different to the wearer and to the observer.
On the front, four large granny squares arranged in a 2×2 grid cover the entire front of the body.
Each square is a floral composition in itself: an intense fuchsia center, surrounded by burnt orange, golden yellow, moss green, vibrant turquoise petals, framed in ecru white.
Four different compositions — the colors are not identical from one square to another; each has its own palette, its own personality — yet the ensemble forms a coherent and harmonious whole, like a painting divided into four panels.
This is Ruggino's facade — ornamental, festive, of absolute richness and beauty.
On the back, horizontal stripes take over with absolute energy and cheerfulness.
Orange, moss green, burgundy red, fuchsia, turquoise, golden yellow — dense, tight bands that follow one another without interruption across the entire back and sleeves.
No hierarchy between colors, no dominant color — each band has the same width, the same presence, the same strength.
This is Ruggino's back — dynamic, joyful, with absolute chromatic generosity.
The ecru borders are the unifying decision. The ecru round neck frames the face with absolute sobriety and elegance — a crisp white line that signifies the piece is conceived as a whole.
The ecru openwork band at the hem — in large-mesh filet stitch, then scalloped in generous waves — creates a line of light and lightness at the bottom of the piece, a striking contrast with the chromatic density of the body.
The ecru openwork scalloped cuffs at the wrists echo the same vocabulary — a coherence and precision that characterize the piece.

Over high-waisted white slim-fit jeans — white amplifies all of Ruggino's colors, and the ecru borders resonate with the light background.
This is the most editorial look — the one in the photos.
Over black tailored trousers — black intensifies all colors, making the granny squares radiate with maximum force.
This is the most graphic, most assertive look.
Over a black leather midi skirt — black leather against multicolored granny squares creates the most striking, most photographic contrast.
