Rosa.
Pink in Spanish and Italian — but also a given name, a proper noun, a woman.
The rose as a flower and a color, as a symbol of assumed femininity and unapologetic beauty.
Rosa's red is an absolute decision.
Not a burgundy red that apologizes for its depth, not an orangey red seeking warmth — a pure, bold, electric red, the red of poppies in wheat fields, the red of lips that speak without words.
A red that enters a room before the person wearing it. A red that needs no justification.
Upon this red, round granny squares are arranged with absolute precision and beauty.
Not traditional squares — circles.
Concentric circles that expand from a white center to rings of pink: intense fuchsia pink, luminous candy pink, delicate powder pink, soft lavender, pale sky blue at the periphery.
Each circle is a floral composition in itself — a rose seen from above, a flower opening outwards with absolute generosity and precision.
These circles are arranged in vertical columns across the body and sleeves, separated by red bands in large openwork stitch — light, transparent, allowing the piece to breathe between the patterns and creating a vertical rhythm of absolute elegance and clarity.
The ribbed red collar band is scalloped in small regular waves — with absolute delicacy and lacemaker's precision.
It frames the face with a sobriety and elegance that contrast with the ornamental richness of the body.
The scalloped ribbed red cuffs at the wrists echo the same vocabulary — a coherence and precision that indicate the piece is conceived as a whole.
The red tassel cords at the waist are Rosa's most personal decision.
Two braided cords emerging from the ribbed hem band and ending in generous, well-formed tassels — a playful yet couture detail that says Rosa knows exactly what she's doing and isn't afraid to add a touch of whimsy to an already strong piece.
