On the Beach — Creation
Some titles are already images in themselves. "On the Beach" — sur la plage — says everything and says nothing.
It speaks of place. It speaks of time. It speaks of a state of mind. But it doesn't specify which beach, what time, or what woman.
Because this dress doesn't belong to one particular beach. It belongs to them all.
The construction is of absolute purity.
The large-stitch off-white shell/fan stitch deploys its patterns with a jeweler's regularity — each fan opens downwards with a picot at the top, each row responds to the previous one in perfect symmetry.
The texture is airy, entirely transparent, like lace woven by the sea.
The round neckline with a tight stitch border frames precisely.
The very short integrated cap sleeves add that discreet volume that transforms the silhouette without weighing it down.
The side slit at the bottom allows for freedom of movement — this detail that says the dress was designed for walking, for moving, for living.
The fan stitch border at the bottom finishes the piece echoing the body — total coherence, from collar to hem.
On the Beach can be worn over a white swimsuit for total transparency, or over a colorful bikini for contrast.
With flip-flops by the sea, flat sandals on a terrace, espadrilles in the city — it is the dress that doesn't know it's beautiful, and that's why it is.
