Marilyn — The creation
She only needs a first name.
Marilyn Monroe wore white, red, black — but it was navy blue that suited her best, the one in black and white photos where color is imagined.
This deep, marine, American blue, which belongs to all women who know what they want.
Marilyn would have liked her.
Not because she is glamorous — although she is.
Because she is free.
The construction plays on two registers that echo each other like two acts of the same play.
The upper yoke is made of square navy blue net stitch — structured, precise, with a V-neckline edged with white picots applied one by one. These small white dots on the deep blue: a detail that changes everything, transforming the piece from nautical to couture.
The thin chain straps are tied at the shoulders — adjustable, light, allowing the piece to breathe.
Then an immaculate white scalloped stitch band marks the separation — crisp, assertive, like a signature.
And the body transitions into a very openwork large mesh diamond stitch, almost immaterial, which reveals the skin in geometric transparency. The bottom border repeats the navy blue scallop, elegantly completing the piece.
White picots on navy blue — and nothing else is needed.
