Ellada — The Creation
Ellada — that's what the Greeks call their country.
Not Greece, not Grèce — Ellada. A word that sounds self-evident, like something you recognize without ever having learned it.
There's an image that always comes to mind when one thinks of the Cyclades: the white of the houses against the blue of the sky.
This white is no ordinary white — it's a dazzling white, almost aggressive under the midday sun, absorbing heat and reflecting it as light.
And this blue is no ordinary blue either — it's the blue of the Aegean Sea, deep and shifting, ranging from turquoise to cobalt depending on the time of day and depth.
These two colors together create something unforgettable, something one longs to rediscover long after returning home.
Ellada was born from this desire — to rediscover that white and blue, to wear them, to take them everywhere.
The construction is of an almost ethereal lightness.
The immaculate white square net stitch with large mesh creates a transparent, airy fabric that lets light and air pass through like a sea breeze.
And through this white, horizontal chain stitch bands in mottled azure blue — sky blue, lavender, mixed grays — cross the piece like horizon lines, like the layers of color seen from a Santorini terrace at sunset.
The round neck is edged in azure blue.
Very short cap sleeves are integrated.
On the sides, openings with adjustable blue lacing — this architectural detail allows the piece to be adjusted to one's silhouette, to wear it more or less open depending on one's mood.
The cut is straight, slightly oversized.
The white and blue of the Cyclades — worn with absolute lightness.
