Cui-Cui — The Creation
Some garments make noise even before you wear them. Cui-Cui is one of those.
The name came naturally.
Cui-Cui is the morning chirping, the lightness of an emerging spring, the good mood you slip into like a second skin.
This top doesn't aim to be demure — it aims to be vibrant.
The base is made of openwork square filet stitch, in ivory white, with a slight transparency that hints at the skin without revealing it.
On this neutral and precise background, the multicolored star stitch bands bring their character: lavender, almond green, orange, mustard.
Four colors that are not afraid of each other, that respond to each other, that play together without clashing.
The star stitch is one of the most demanding crochet stitches. It requires regularity, patience, and perfect yarn tension with each pass.
What you see on the surface — this dense, almost velvety texture, which contrasts with the lightness of the filet — is the result of a mastered technique, repeated stitch by stitch.
The round neckline simply frames the face.
The sleeveless crop cut frees the shoulders.
The scalloped border at the bottom signs off the piece with that artisanal finish that distinguishes handmade from everything else.
Cui-Cui can be worn with white jeans to let the colors speak, with ecru trousers for harmony, with a flowy skirt for lightness. It adapts to summer, spring, to all days that deserve a little cheer.
