Soursop — The Creation
The soursop tree grows in tropical gardens with the quiet generosity of trees that have never known the cold.
Its large, glossy green leaves capture the light and reflect it—bright, dense, vibrant.
And its fruit, the soursop, is one of the most generous in the Caribbean: heavy, fragrant, covered with small spikes like a soft armor, with a white, creamy flesh that smells of vanilla and pineapple mixed together.
Corossol was born from that green—that deep yet luminous green, a green that truly only exists in the tropics, where the light is more intense and the colors more saturated.
The piece is built in three distinct sections, like the levels of a tropical garden.
- At the top, the ecru hexagonal mesh yoke—openwork, transparent, light as the rising warm air.
The halter neckline is edged in vivid green, with a delicate green chain strap that ties at the nape—a precise detail, almost like jewelry. - In the center, the two-tone ecru and green granny squares assemble into a dense and graphic floral mosaic: emerald, lemon, chartreuse—three greens that echo each other like the different shades of a single foliage depending on the angle of the sun.
- At the bottom, the ecru ribbed band structures and anchors the piece, giving it its foundation.
The back is entirely open.
The cut is crop, very short.
