Chocolate — The creation
There is something immemorial about the mermaid cut.
The Greeks knew it — this line that hugs the body to the knees before flaring out into a free wave. Twentieth-century couturiers sublimated it.
It says one simple and absolute thing: the female body is an architecture, and clothing is there to reveal it, not to hide it.
Cioccolato is a mermaid.
But a soft, warm, enveloping mermaid — like its name.
The construction begins in softness: the very openwork, fan/shell stitch with large, mottled rose-beige/sand stitches lightly envelops the body.
The slightly flared boat neck elegantly opens the shoulder line.
Integrated short cap sleeves complete the silhouette without weighing it down.
The very fitted mermaid cut to the knees follows every curve with precision — neither constraint nor excess. Just the right measure.
And then, at the bottom, the cascade.
The double scalloped ruffle unfurls its two registers in an amplifying movement: the first ruffle in deep chocolate brown fan stitch, the second ruffle in a wider ecru beige fan stitch.
Two colors. Two materials. A single movement that flares towards the ground like an incoming wave.
Cioccolato can be worn with nude pumps for absolute elegance, or flat sandals for assumed nonchalance.
In the evening with gold jewelry, during the day with a natural bag.
It is the dress for grand occasions — and for the small daily joys that deserve to be celebrated.
