Cappuccina — The Creation
There's a special alchemy in the meeting of two dissimilar materials.
One openwork, light, almost immaterial.
The other dense, textured, full of relief. Together, they create a dialogue — a gentle tension between what is revealed and what is held back, between transparency and depth.
Cappuccina — whose name evokes the warm sweetness of cappuccino, creamy ecru, and deep caramel — was born from this very dialogue.
The construction unfolds in three very distinct horizontal bands, like three acts of the same play.
- The upper band in a very openwork and geometric ecru triangle mesh stitch opens the skirt lightly — a veil of structured light, with a drawstring tied at the front.
- The wide central band in dense caramel/terracotta star/flower stitch takes over with all its richness — striking relief, warm color, absolute presence.
- Then the lower band reprises the ecru triangle mesh stitch, mirroring the first, closing the composition with symmetry and elegance.
The ecru scalloped border at the bottom finishes the piece with grace — that last undulating gesture that reminds us that crochet, even in its rigor, always retains something alive.
The cut is straight, slightly fitted, mid-thigh 51 cm.
It can be worn with a plain ecru or caramel top to play on monochrome, or with a white top to give full prominence to the colors.
In summer with golden sandals, in mid-season with camel ankle boots — it transcends seasons without ever aging.
