Bobbyjam — The creation
There are names that sound like a party. Bobbyjam — two syllables that bounce, that have something musical, danceable, irresistibly joyful.
A name that says this piece is not there to be demure, not there to blend into the background, not there to go unnoticed. It's there for joy to overflow.
And it does.
The openwork fancy stitch unfurls its rainbow gradient in a generous and continuous movement — green, turquoise, blue, purple, pink, red, orange, yellow — from the square neckline to the very long, flared bell sleeves.
All the colors of the visible spectrum, in the exact order of light breaking down in a prism.
It's a piece that brings the physics of light to the body.
The square neckline, highlighted with an anthracite border, creates a neat and assertive frame — that dark trim that says even the most exuberant joy can have structure.
The very long, flared bell sleeves widen downwards with absolute generosity, creating that ample and romantic movement that belongs as much to autumn as to summer.
Bobbyjam is made of wool and acrylic — a piece that can be worn in all seasons, that transforms a grey November day into something that resembles summer. Over black jeans for maximum impact, over anthracite leggings for consistency.
Bobbyjam is the crop sweater that brings summer to all seasons.
Entirely hand-crocheted in my French workshop.
