Belladonna — The creation
A double V for the woman who loves victory.
Belladonna. The beautiful lady — this plant with dark berries and deep purple flowers that grows in the shade of the undergrowth. A name that carries both beauty and mystery, sweetness and depth.
Belladonna is constructed with very wide vertical stripes.
Four bands, four distinct marled yarns — deep chocolate brown, marled coral/terracotta, marled golden beige, soft rosy coral.
Each band is worked in an openwork, transparent, light fishnet stitch that lets light pass through and reveals the marl in all its complexity. It's not a color you see — it's a palette you discover, different depending on the light, the angle, the time of day.
The marl is Belladonna's signature.
Where a plain yarn would be flat, marled yarn is alive — it blends several shades in a single thread, creating imperceptible variations that give each band its own depth.
Chocolate brown is not uniform: it has coppery reflections, hints of tobacco.
Marled coral/terracotta oscillates between red and orange, between warm and burnt tones.
The chocolate brown ribbed waistband is a structuring decision.
It precisely defines the waist, anchors the garment to the body, creating a clean horizontal line that contrasts with the verticality of the stripes.
It gives Belladonna its silhouette — without it, the garment would float. With it, it asserts itself.
The double V — front and back — plunges with calculated elegance. In front, it frames the neckline with precise softness.
In the back, it opens more, revealing the nape and upper back with discreet sensuality.
The vibrant coral border that highlights the two V's is the final touch — it picks up the brightest shade of the palette and places it exactly where the eye first lands.
Ideas on how to wear it?
Over a coral or terracotta camisole — the tones of the palette resonate with the camisole, the back V reveals the colorful background.
This is the most cohesive, most assertive look.
Over a nude or flesh-colored camisole — the transparency of the fishnet is maximized, the marled stripes take center stage.
This is the most sensual, most summery look.
With camel or tobacco slim-fit jeans — the warm tones of the palette resonate with the camel. Belladonna becomes a statement piece, anchored in a sophisticated terracotta palette.
With white or cream trousers — the contrast is maximal.
The chocolate/coral/beige stripes vibrate against the white, the ribbed waistband structures the silhouette.
